Big Mountain Trip
Best Ski Trip

This past weekend, February 10 - 13, I had the best skiing weekend in my life. I met my friend Ryan (he came from Helena) in Whitefish on Friday afternoon, we stocked up on supplies and headed up to Big Mountain, a couple of miles away.
Since Ryan's in the military, we were able to get a good deal on a Condo, Edelweiss for the weekend. Only $220 a piece for three nights...not bad!
Here's the view from our deck
Saturday morning, right before we hit the slopes, the thermometer read 64 degrees on our deck. The sun doesn't even hit it.
Here's the view from the top of Chair #4, the backside of Big Mountain.
Another shot of the top of Chair #4. We went to the T-Bar, where Ryan skied the trees and powder (I wussed out).
Not a cloud in the sky and beautiful scenery. Makes you forget about everything else going on in your life.
Top of the front of the mountain
One of our last runs on Sunday. We chilled at the top of Chair #4 & enjoyed a fine cigar.
This is the view we had chillin', waiting for one of our last runs.

Just around the corner was a statue of some dude. Guess he's a skiier too.
